Young Local DJs Bring the Music to The Victoria Centre This June
This June, The Victoria Centre is welcoming something a little different to the Bridge Area.
Join us for a free afternoon of live music, young local talent and community spirit, as The Victoria Centre partners with Raving For A Reason CIC for a DJ Takeover.
The event is all about giving talented under-18 DJs and young creatives a space to perform, build confidence and share their music with centre visitors.

Young DJs Taking Over the Decks
The DJ Takeover is set to bring a brilliant afternoon of live music to The Victoria Centre.
Throughout the event, talented under-18 DJs will be taking over the decks in the Bridge Area, playing a varied mix of upbeat, feel-good tracks for everyone passing through the centre.
Whether you’re popping in to shop, meeting friends, visiting The Bridge or just fancy seeing something a bit different, it’s a great chance to enjoy live sets from young DJs who know how to get a crowd going.
It’ll be lively, welcoming and easy to drop into while you’re in the centre.
There’s nothing to book. Just pop by, enjoy the music and be part of a brilliant afternoon in the Bridge Area.
Supporting Young Local Talent
The event is delivered in partnership with Raving For A Reason CIC, a youth-led community project championing under-18 DJs and young creatives.
By bringing the DJ Takeover into The Victoria Centre, the event gives young performers the chance to play in front of a real crowd, share their music and bring something fresh into the heart of Southend.
It’s a celebration of local talent, creativity and community, with great music at the centre of it.
